Job Title: Inspector Job Description

The Inspector will perform visual and physical inspections of packaged products and materials. They will check packaging conditions, labeling accuracy, and container integrity while performing basic inspection activities and measurements as instructed. The role requires collecting samples per written instructions, accurately documenting inspection results and observations, and communicating any issues or concerns to QA leadership. Inspectors must follow site safety protocols, visually count products in boxes, weigh boxes, and verify that the order contents match the finished product.

Responsibilities

+ Conduct visual and physical inspections of packaged products and materials.

+ Check packaging conditions, labeling accuracy, and container integrity.

+ Perform basic inspection activities and measurements as instructed.

+ Collect samples according to written instructions.

+ Accurately document inspection results and observations.

+ Communicate any issues or concerns to QA leadership.

+ Follow site safety protocols.

+ Visually count products in boxes and weigh boxes.

+ Verify order contents match finished products.

+ Count, sort, and verify products.

Essential Skills

+ 2-3 years of manual inspecting experience.

+ Proficiency in packaging, picking, packing, and sorting.

+ Experience in quality control, quality assurance, and visual inspection.

+ Ability to perform quality checks and inspect orders.

+ Skill in counting, weighing, and verifying products.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience in batch mixing and general labor.

Work Environment

Employees will rotate between Chicago Heights, Alsip, Alsip Central, and CH Warehouse, starting from Chicago Heights. The Alsip facility is modern, clean, and recently remodeled, with a smaller workforce and a focus on customized orders. The Chicago Heights facility is larger and more dynamic, with a bigger workforce, more production lines, and repetitive client orders. Both locations are temperature-controlled, and safety is a top priority. Employees are reimbursed for travel between sites.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Alsip, IL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 – $27.00/hr.

Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job
