Job Description
Department: The Office of Public Utilities / Division: Finance
In this role, you will:
• Prepare and analyze monthly financial reports to monitor budget performance (capital, labor, operating, auxiliary services), identify variances, and provide financial, statistical, and policy analysis to support management decision-making.
• Support fiscal projects by compiling and analyzing data from general ledger, billing, and budget systems, producing tables, charts, and reports for management, customers, and other departments.
• Provide financial and operational data to support long-range planning for electric and water systems, including future generation, water supply needs, rate comparisons, and system design considerations.
• Assist in developing revenue requirement, cost of service, and rate design studies while tracking and analyzing monthly water and electric consumption and revenues by customer, rate class, and geography to
assess fund adequacy.
