Job Description
Monitor building security and safety by performing such tasks as locking office doors and facility doors.
Report any unauthorized occupants, turn off lights, and arm the alarm system using proper procedures.
Operate floor equipment such as quare scrub machines, doodle scrubbers, burnishers, wet/dry vacuums with
squeegee attachments, rotary floor machines, backpack vacuums, and Taski dry foam machines (list not inclusive).
Move office, medical, and/or warehouse furniture, equipment, boxes and crates.
Prepare building floors or carpet by sweeping, mopping, or vacuuming surfaces.
Mix and use cleaning chemicals according to guidelines and safety data sheets (SDS). Follow procedures for the use
of chemical cleaners and power equipment. Safely operate all job-related equipment.
Follow proper safety procedures, including correct use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
Notify manager of any major concerns regarding equipment and/or company vehicles.
Complete work according to assigned work orders. Submit a report at the end of each shift, including before-andafter
photos of completed work.
Perform incidental seasonal tasks such as flood clean ups; post-construction terminal cleans and/or other special
requests. Duties may include removing dust, washing walls, cleaning ceiling tiles, vents, and light fixtures.
Remove stains from such surfaces as floor mats/runners, rugs, upholstery, walls, floors, carpet using chemicals and
cleaning solutions.
Maintain positive customer relations on-site. Promptly communicate any building issues (cleanliness, equipment,
or project needs) to the immediate supervisor.
Comply with all safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
Request supplies and equipment needed to perform duties. Take inventory.
Other duties as required.
