Job Description
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities: Applicable to all areas · Actively participate in efforts to establish and promote a safe and healthy work environment and inform Safety Director and Supervisor of any accidents or equipment damage that occurs. · Follow policies, programs, and procedures for the reduction and elimination of accidents, provide quality feedback to promote safer work behaviors and conditions. · Maintain an organized and clean work area · Act professionally and cooperate with others in a team setting. Maintenance · Read maintenance technical drawings and work orders · Maintain schedules, communication and documentation · Perform preventative maintenance and lubrication procedures · Assist with basic equipment problem identification, diagnosis and repair · Assist to re-qualify equipment, layout and plan work · Interpret equipment symbols and procedures · Monitor equipment for correct operation and use of hand tools · Identify maintenance requirements · Gain an overview of the processes of JDE · Learn Lock out/Tag out procedures · Familiarization with the substations and distribution of power throughout the plant and the emergency shutdown procedures · Gain electrical experience from VFD motors and motor controls and conduit and raceways · Learn how to trouble shoot any issues that may come across in the electrical, mechanical or hydraulic areas Qualifications: · Current enrollment in a two year degree for Maintenance or related degree; Must be willing to provide transcripts and faculty/personal recommendations upon request. · Ability to operate tools and equipment safely and apply manufacturing and industry knowledge and think critically · Must have effective interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate with all personnel · Basic computer skills, ability to follow instructions, both written and verbal · Must be able to pass all pre-employment tests, including hair drug test (90 days) and lift evaluation of 65lbs
