UL Solutions is looking for a Maintenance Mechanic II to support its Northbrook campus facilities team. This person will perform preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on building systems and facility equipment. While HVAC experience is helpful, this is not a dedicated HVAC role. The ideal candidate is a hands-on facilities professional who is comfortable handling a variety of maintenance needs-from mechanical equipment and pumps to plumbing repairs, conference room setups, and general building support.

Skills and Requirements
- 3+ years of facilities maintenance, building engineer, maintenance mechanic, or industrial maintenance experience
- Experience performing preventative maintenance and troubleshooting mechanical equipment - Basic HVAC knowledge (air handlers, RTUs, boilers, chillers, pumps, compressors, etc.) - Experience with plumbing, building repairs, or general facilities maintenance - Comfortable working independently on second shiftStrong customer service and communication skills – Experience supporting large corporate campuses, hospitals, laboratories, manufacturing facilities, or commercial buildings
- CMMS/work order system experience - Electrical troubleshooting experience - Building automation or controls exposureExperience in highly regulated or mission-critical environments
