As a Seasonal Data Specialist,youwillcombine careful data handling, critical thinking,humanjudgment,andattentiontodetailtohelp movetax related information from document intake through variousstepsleading upto tax returnpreparation.

This position offerspaid trainingand the possibility to return each tax season.You will gain valuable experience while contributing to a collaborative and supportive team. Join our BT Prep team as a Seasonal Data Specialist supporting the complete data workflow.Youwillwork withscanned tax documentscompleting each stage needed to prepare information for downstream use. Attention to detail, technical confidence, adaptability, and sound judgment are key.

Qualifications:

  • Must have participated in a previous BT Prep Tax Season
  • High school diploma/GEDrequired
  • Availability: Minimum 30 hours/week (Monday-Friday, 7 am-7 pm CST). Work hours must be spread across at least four days, with a minimum of four hours per day.
  • Strong computer skills and the ability to learn new digital and AI-assisted tools quickly
  • High attention to detail, strong analytical thinking, and the ability to follow guidance while adapting to updates
  • Data-focused, AI-ready mindset: curious about new tools, comfortable with change, and committed to reviewing automated results critically
  • Ability to manage multiple steps of a workflow, shift among task types, and meet productivity and quality expectations
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to ask clear questions and explain issues
  • Ability to work efficiently in a remote team environment and independently as needed
  • Commitment to confidentiality and responsible use of technology

The pay rate range for this job position is $16.50. Actual compensation is influenced by a variety of relevant factors including but not limited to applicant's skills, prior experience, qualifications, degrees, professional certifications, work arrangements and geographic location.
