Position Overview
The General Education Teacher is responsible for implementing daily instructional plans, creating a positive learning environment, and supporting students’ academic and personal growth. This role requires strong classroom management skills, effective communication, and the ability to foster positive relationships with students, parents, and school staff.
Key Responsibilities
+ Deliver instruction and implement classroom lesson plans effectively
+ Maintain a classroom environment that encourages learning and student engagement
+ Build positive relationships with students, parents, and school staff
+ Manage classroom behavior and promote student success
+ Collaborate with building administrators and fellow educators
+ Monitor student progress and provide appropriate academic support
+ Communicate with parents and school personnel regarding student needs and achievements
+ Ensure student safety and well-being throughout the school day
Required Qualifications
+ Bachelor’s Degree or higher
+ Valid teaching license/certification as required by state and district regulations
+ Ability to implement instructional plans and classroom curriculum
+ Strong communication and classroom management skills
+ Compliance with all federal, state, and local requirements
+ Must be at least 18 years of age
Preferred Qualifications
+ Minimum one year of teaching experience
+ Current CPR certification (if applicable)
+ Current health screening and TB clearance requirements (if applicable)
