School Social Worker – School-Based (Mundelein, IL)
Amergis Educational Staffing is seeking a School Social Worker for a school-based opportunity in Mundelein, IL for the upcoming school year.
Position Details
+ Location: Mundelein, IL
+ Start Date: August 17, 2026
+ Duration: 39 Weeks
+ Schedule: 35 Hours Per Week
+ Pay: $55/hour
+ Setting: K-12 Program
+ Openings: 1
Assignment Overview
+ Join a collaborative team supporting students in a Low Incidence Autism Program
+ Provide social-emotional and behavioral support services
+ Participate in IEP development and multidisciplinary team meetings
+ Deliver counseling, crisis intervention, and behavioral support as needed
+ Caseload is shared among the social work team
Requirements
+ Illinois PEL with School Social Work Endorsement
+ Strong collaboration and communication skills
+ Experience working with autism populations preferred
+ Must meet all state and district requirements

The Social Worker collaborates with the multidisciplinary team and provides input in the development of the IHP/IEP for students requiring social work intervention and support in the school setting.
Minimum Requirements:
+ Holds a Professional Educator License with School Social Worker (SSW) endorsement as required by state, contract and/or facility
+ May be required to have MSW or LCSW per state, contract or facility
+ Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice
+ Current CPR if applicable
+ TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
+ Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
+ Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
+ Must be at least 18 years of age
