Position Overview

Essential Functions

  • Serves as Sexual Abuse Services Coordinator

  • Directs and manages the assignment of youth exhibiting problematic sexual behaviors

  • Serves as the Contract Monitor or Administrator for the region’s SBP services, overseeing contractual compliance and appropriate allocation of funds

  • Provides clinical direction and support to providers regarding Utilization Reviews (UR’s) for children and youth with sexual behavior problems, including residential and foster care programs

  • Provides clinical guidance on case reviews and staffings and provides supporting documentation for court

  • Oversees the completion of data entry into program-wide and individual databases

  • Represents the Division of Clinical Practice on committees and work groups in the Department and with professional associations and community providers to achieve the program’s mission of ensuring the safety of sexually abused children and providing them with therapeutic intervention focused on healing

  • Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated
    above.

 

Minimum Qualifications

  • Requires an MSW or MA in an acceptable human services field.

  • Requires three years of administrative child welfare experience with an MSW or four years of administrative child welfare experience with a master’s degree in an acceptable human services field.
Specialized Skills

Of the noted years of experience, requires that the experience include direct clinical experience in social work, counseling, or psychological services; requires three (3) years of experience in mental health assessment and evaluation practices and techniques; requires three (3) years of experience using clinical terminology, including diagnoses.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Three (3) years of direct clinical experience in social work, counseling, or psychological services.

  • Three (3) years of experience in the area of mental health assessment and evaluation.

  • Three (3) years of experience in a clinical field using clinical terminology, including diagnoses.

  • LCSW certification is preferred.
Conditions of Employment

  • Requires ability to pass a background check and self-disclosure of criminal history.

  • Requires ability to travel in the performance of duties. Requires appropriate, valid driver’s license.

  • This position has been found to meet the requirements in section 4A-101 of the Illinois Governmental Ethics Act requiring the occupant/employee to file a Statement of Economic Interest. The Illinois Governmental Ethics Act (5 ILCS 420/4A et seq.) requires certain state officials and employees to file annual Statements of Economic Interest with the Office of the Secretaryof State that will be made available for examination and copying by the public. All employees required to file a Statement of Economic Interest are also required to file the Supplemental Statement of Economic Interest with the Executive EthicsCommission. (See Executive Order 15-09) Fines and penalties apply to untimely filings.
