Job Description
Position Summary : Quickly respond to all emergency systems and calls according to policy and procedure. Operate SPOK, CBX, Emergency Code Phone, and Console to relay incoming and outgoing calls. Operate overhead paging system along with other communication related equipment and information technology systems such as Everbridge, SnapComm, Fire Alarm Detection System Cuddles Infant/Child monitoring System and, National Weather Service Radio. Communicates with Facilities and Security teams during system alarms and emergency procedures.
Communications
+ Answer calls in a courteous and prompt manner using established scripting.
+ Transfers calls to the correct party according to Policy and Procedure.
+ Issues emergency alerts, notifications, and stat pages according to Policy and Procedure; maintains calm manner during emergency situations.
+ Possesses excellent communication skills and problem-solving abilities.
Position Requirements :
+ High school graduate /G.E.D. diploma required.
+ Previous communications/telecommunications experience preferred.
+ Typing experience and P.C. familiarity required.
+ Experience in various IT applications such as Word, Outlook, Excel, Teams preferred.
+ Pleasant and effective verbal communication skills necessary.
+ Ability to work at a fast pace under pressure with frequent interruptions.
+ Ability to multi-task
