Labor & Delivery RN **High-risk labor & delivery experience at a Level 1 Trauma Center is required**
Job Summary:
Provides comprehensive care to mothers and newborns during labor, delivery, and postpartum.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor fetal heart rate and maternal vitals.
- Administer pain management (e.g., epidurals) and assist during vaginal or C-section deliveries.
- Conduct postpartum monitoring and newborn assessments.
- Educate patients and families on labor, delivery, and newborn care.
- Identify and respond to complications.
Requirements:
- RN license in state of assignment. Minimum 2 yr exp.
- BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, and STABLE certifications.
- Experience in labor & delivery or maternal-child nursing.
Work Environment & Demands:
- Hospital settings (Med-Surg units, post-op recovery, step-down).
- Will every 3rd weekend and holiday rotation
- Physical demands include standing, lifting patients/equipment, and stress management.
