Job Description
Hours: 6:00am-2:30pm
QPS Employment Group is hiring for a Core Production role for a company in Richmond, IL. This is a potential to hire opportunity on 1st shift.
Core Production Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Cut, stack, and assemble core steel laminations according to production drawings and specifications
- Operate core cutting machines, presses, stackers, and related fabrication equipment
- Install clamps, braces, insulation materials, and hardware required for core assembly
- Measure, square, and verify core dimensions to ensure accuracy and consistency
- Assist with core tilting, moving, and positioning using cranes or other lifting equipment
- Perform visual and dimensional inspections to verify alignment, tightness, and quality
- Record production data and maintain documentation for each core assembly
- Follow work instructions, safety procedures, and quality standards at all times
- Maintain a clean and organized work area and assist with routine equipment upkeep
- Collaborate with production and engineering teams to meet daily build schedules
Core Production Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Manufacturing, mechanical assembly, or metal fabrication experience preferred
- Ability to read and understand blueprints, measurements, and work instructions
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and basic shop equipment
- Experience using overhead cranes or hoists is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and mechanical aptitude
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks such as bending, standing, and reaching
- Production and fabrication environment with exposure to metal materials, machinery, and noise
- PPE and adherence to all safety protocols required
