Location: Greater Chicago Area | Hybrid - 1 day onsite per week

A rapidly growing global commercial insurance brokerage, backed by a leading and well-established overseas commercial insurance organization, is looking for an experienced Account Executive - Commercial P&C to join its growing team.
This is a senior-level client-facing opportunity for a well-rounded Commercial P&C professional who is comfortable managing complex accounts, advising clients across multiple industries, and partnering with Sales on new business opportunities.
As an Account Executive, you will manage approximately 10 large and complex commercial accounts, serving as a key advisor to clients and the primary technical resource for their insurance needs. You will work across multiple lines of coverage and industries, providing solutions that address clients' evolving risks and business needs.
In addition to managing your own portfolio, you will have the opportunity to mentor and develop junior team members, contribute your technical expertise to new business opportunities, and play an important role in the continued growth of the organization.

Key Responsibilities
Client & Account Leadership
Manage approximately 10 large and complex commercial P&C accounts across a variety of industries.
Serve as a trusted advisor to clients by understanding their business, insurance needs, and evolving risk exposures.
Build and maintain strong, long-term client relationships to support retention and client satisfaction.
Provide guidance on coverage, policy structure, risk exposure, and appropriate insurance solutions.
Manage renewals, policy updates, modifications, and other ongoing account activities.

Technical & Risk Expertise
Review existing insurance programs and policies to identify coverage gaps, opportunities, and potential areas of risk.
Evaluate clients' business risks and recommend appropriate risk management and insurance strategies.
Develop and present insurance proposals in partnership with Customer Service Specialists.
Provide technical expertise on complex insurance matters and help clients make informed coverage decisions.
Stay current on insurance products, market developments, regulatory changes, and emerging risks.

New Business & Business Development Support
Partner closely with the Sales Team on new business opportunities generated through the brokerage's sales efforts.
Provide technical and insurance expertise to help develop, position, and close new business opportunities.
Identify cross-selling and account expansion opportunities within the existing client portfolio.
Participate in client presentations and proposal development as appropriate.

Team Collaboration & Leadership
Serve as a senior resource to Customer Service Teams and Account Representatives.
Mentor and guide junior team members and contribute to their professional development.
Support training and onboarding activities and share technical knowledge across the team.
Coordinate with Customer Service Specialists and Account Representatives to ensure accurate and timely execution of client requirements.
Oversee or coordinate the ordering and issuance of binders, certificates, policies, endorsements, and other required documentation.

Qualifications
7+ years of commercial insurance Account Management or Account Executive experience, with a strong focus on Property & Casualty.
Active Property & Casualty insurance license required.
Strong knowledge of commercial P&C insurance products, coverage, and risk management.
Experience managing large and complex commercial accounts.
Experience working with major/national insurance carriers.
Broad commercial insurance experience across multiple industries and lines of coverage. A generalist background is preferred over a highly specialized niche.
Demonstrated ability to independently manage client relationships while collaborating effectively with internal teams.
Strong communication, presentation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Experience mentoring, training, or supporting junior insurance professionals is a strong plus.
Proficiency in EPIC and Microsoft Office.
Willingness to travel up to 25%.

The base pay range listed reflects what we reasonably expect to offer for this role. Actual pay may vary based on location, experience, and performance.
