Our client, a leading manufacturing organization, is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to join their team. As a Maintenance Mechanic, you will be part of the Maintenance Department supporting manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will demonstrate technical proficiency, problem-solving skills, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic

Location: Abbott Park, IL

Pay: $33.75

Shift: 8:00am – 5:00pm

What’s the Job?

+ Maintain plant electrical and mechanical systems to ensure safe and reliable operations.

+ Perform preventative and predictive maintenance on manufacturing equipment and utility systems.

+ Troubleshoot and repair high-speed filling, packaging, and conveying equipment.

+ Assist in installing various components such as seals, bearings, belts, and sprockets.

+ Read electrical schematics, wire from diagrams, and use electrical and precision tools to complete work.

What’s Needed?

+ Technical degree with a minimum of two years of maintenance experience.

+ Experience working with robotics in a manufacturing or cleanroom environment.

+ Flexibility to work from 6am to 2:30pm and adapt for potential conversion opportunities.

+ Proficiency in repairing gear heads, reducers, pumps, and electrical motors.

+ Ability to troubleshoot complex equipment and perform welding, fabrication, and electrical repairs.
