Loader Operator

What You’ll Do

+ Operate production machinery and equipment safely and efficiently

+ Load sheet metal into machines while ensuring accurate measurements

+ Read tape measures and perform basic calculations to meet production specifications

+ Inspect materials and finished products to maintain quality standards

+ Lift, move, and position sheet metal and building materials throughout the production process

+ Build, package, and prepare products for shipment

+ Use a banding gun to palletize and securely strap finished orders

+ Assist with loading, unloading, wrapping, and staging materials

+ Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area

What We’re Looking For

+ Manufacturing, production, or general labor experience

+ Ability to accurately read a tape measure

+ Basic math and measurement skills

+ Experience operating machinery and using hand tools

+ Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality

+ Ability to work safely in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

+ Reliable attendance and strong work ethic

Preferred Qualifications

+ Experience in metal fabrication or sheet metal production

+ Experience loading and unloading trucks

+ Experience in construction, assembly, packaging, or warehouse operations

+ Experience with cutting, bending, and handling metal materials

+ Ability to regularly lift 50-60 pounds throughout the shift

Work Environment

This position is based in a metal fabrication facility that is not temperature-controlled , requiring employees to work in varying conditions throughout the year. The role is active and physical, involving standing, lifting, bending, and material handling throughout the shift.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Clinton, IL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.65 – $19.65/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
