Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage architectural projects through all phases of design and construction, including programming, schematic design, design development, construction documents, bidding, and construction administration.
- Work with clients to develop project objectives and priorities.
- Manage client relationships and project deliverables from initial design phase to project completion.
- Develop project work plans, establish project priorities, monitor progress, and proactively manage project scope and deliverables.
- Coordinate and lead project meetings with clients, consultants, contractors and internal project teams.
- Direct and oversee the preparation and coordination of construction documents, specifications, and project manuals.
- Produce building models and construction drawings using Revit.
- Produce project manual and specifications.
- Provide technical leadership by resolving complex design and construction challenges while ensuring projects meet applicable codes, standards, and quality expectations.
- Manage the coordination of architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and specialty consultant work throughout the project lifecycle.
- Conduct site visits, review construction progress, respond to RFIs, review submittals, evaluate change orders, and resolve field issues to support successful project execution.
- Mentor, supervise, and support the professional development of architectural staff while fostering collaboration and accountability within project teams.
- Communicate project status, schedules, risks, and staffing needs regularly with Firm Principals.
- Participate in project planning, fee proposals, contract negotiations, business development, and marketing initiatives to support firm growth.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in accordance with firm quality standards and client expectations.
- Promote an efficient, collaborative, and iterative design process that encourages innovation and continuous improvement.
