Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) – School-Based
Location: Gurnee, IL
Pay Rate: $80/hour
Schedule: 35 hours per week
Contract Length: 39 Weeks

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide school-based services in Gurnee, Illinois . This is an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students’ communication and academic success while working in a collaborative educational environment.
Position Details
+ Competitive pay: $80/hour
+ 35 hours per week
+ 39-week contract
+ School-based setting
+ Start date: 09/08/2026
Responsibilities
+ Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders.
+ Develop and implement individualized treatment plans aligned with students’ educational goals.
+ Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to support student success.
+ Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports in accordance with district and state guidelines.
+ Participate in IEP meetings and provide recommendations regarding speech and language services.
Qualifications
+ Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
+ Active Illinois Speech-Language Pathologist license.
+ Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with SLP endorsement, or eligibility to obtain.
+ Previous school-based experience preferred but not required.
+ Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration skills.

Minimum Requirements:
+ Active Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) Licensure in the state of assignment required
+ Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred and may be required by state/contract.
+ Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice
+ Current CPR if applicable
+ TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
+ Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
+ Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
+ Must be at least 18 years of age
