Job Description

Description We are looking for a Sales Assistant to support customer and design-related inquiries for a Contract position based in Wheeling, Illinois. This role focuses on delivering timely sales support, coordinating product information, and helping customers and interior designers move projects forward smoothly. The ideal candidate brings a proactive mindset, adapts easily to changing priorities, and contributes to a responsive and organized sales process.

Responsibilities:

- Respond to customer questions regarding order status, product availability, specifications, and sample requests with accuracy and urgency.

- Partner with interior designers and clients to provide product details and support project-related sales activities.

- Assist the sales team with inbound and outbound communication to maintain strong customer engagement and follow-up.

- Prepare and organize sales-related information to help ensure a smooth experience from initial inquiry through order support.

- Maintain accurate records in Sage 50 and support day-to-day administrative sales tasks.

- Coordinate with internal teams to resolve issues, address customer needs, and keep requests moving efficiently.

- Adapt to shifting priorities and manage multiple requests while maintaining a high level of service.

- Contribute to inside sales efforts by supporting relationship-building activities and timely client communication. Requirements – At least 2 years of experience in a sales support, inside sales, or customer-facing sales role.

- Working knowledge of inside sales, direct sales, inbound sales, and outbound sales practices.

- Ability to communicate professionally with clients, interior designers, and internal partners.

- Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple requests and deadlines effectively.

- Experience using Sage 50 or similar business software for sales or administrative support tasks.

- Proactive, flexible, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
