The Principal ISSE serves as the senior technical authority for security engineering, STIG compliance, vulnerability management, and cybersecurity operations across mission-critical systems. This role establishes security standards and configuration baselines, leads complex security assessments, and drives enterprise remediation efforts using tools such as CyberArk and Tenable. The Principal ISSE provides strategic guidance on security risks, emerging threats, and mitigation strategies while championing automation and engineering best practices. Additionally, this position mentors the ISSE team, supports technical development, and helps shape the overall cybersecurity strategy and direction of the program.

Skills and Requirements
- Active clearance (TS preferred)
- 3 years of security engineering experience in DoD or federal environments
- Expert proficiency across STIGviewer, SCAP, Tenable SC, Tenable Cloud Security, and CyberArk PAM
- Mastery of DoD STIG processes, NIST SP 800-53r5 technical controls, and vulnerability management frameworks
- Demonstrated experience leading enterprise-level security engineering programs
- Proven track record mentoring and leading security engineering teams
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Data Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, or Software Engineering Experience with IL4/IL5/IL6 cloud hardening and classified environment engineering
CyberArk Sentry or Guardian certification
