Nuclear Medicine Technologist

Setting: Healthcare Facilities

Job Type: Contract – Full Time

Pay: $92 / Hour

Hours: 40.00

Location: Chicago, IL

The Nuclear Medicine Technologist performs tests for patient
diagnosis, progress or deterioration and medical research. The Nuclear Medicine Technologist prepares
and gives radiopharmaceuticals to patients when indicated and uses high-level
imaging equipment to record images of the radioactive material in the patient’s
body. The Nuclear Medicine Technologist
works in collaboration with physicians to provide the images for interpretation
to study and diagnose a medical condition.
The Nuclear Medicine Technologist gives doses of radiation to patients
internally to treat various medical conditions when prescribed by a
physician. The Nuclear Medicine
Technologist participates in a variety of technical tasks, tests and
determinations involving the utilization of radioactive materials and
measurement instrumentation.

Minimum Requirements:

+ Level I & II

+ Graduate of an AMA approved Nuclear Medicine Technologytraining program and/or meets all state required educational &licensing/certification standards

+ – Level IIPosition Requirements:

+ ? Possesses at least two years ofexperience in the Nuclear Medicine field

+ ? May hold specialized certifications (like CNMT from theNuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board), manages complex scansindependently, and may oversee or guide Level 1 technologists.

+ ? One -two years prior supervisory orTeam Lead experience

+ Complies with all relevant professional standards ofpractice

+ Current CPR if applicable

+ TB Questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable

+ Current Health certificate (per contract or stateregulation)

+ Must meet all federal, state and local requirements

+ Must be at least 18 years of age
