Reporting to: Chief Executive OfficerEstimated Compensation Range:Min: $220K to Max $280K
The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) serves as a strategic member of the Executive Leadership Team and provides overall leadership, direction, and oversight of the financial operations of Saint Joseph’s Hospital. This executive is responsible for ensuring the integrity and accuracy of financial reporting, developing long-term financial strategies, leading budgeting and forecasting processes, managing revenue cycle and reimbursement functions, and driving fiscal performance in support of the organization’s mission and growth objectives.
The CFO provides sound financial stewardship while ensuring compliance with all policies and procedures established by the Governing Board and aligned with the hospital’s mission, values, and operational philosophy. This leader is accountable for planning, organizing, and influencing financial and operational activities across the organization, maintaining financial records in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), and fostering a culture of accountability, transparency, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
+ Bachelor degree in Accounting / Finance or closely related field.
+ Extensive knowledge of Health Care Accounting practices and principles.
+ Progressively responsible position in the Accounting profession.
+ Familiarity with computer accounting programs.
+ CPA preferred
+ Membership and active participation in ACHE and/or other professional organization preferred.
+ Five to seven years’ experience in hospital accounting/finance required; two years in management preferred.
+ Management of hospital financial issues related to budgeting, cash management, capital finance, and performance evaluations.
+ Knowledge of insurance matters, regulations, reimbursement, information systems and plant operations.

A reasonable compensation estimate for this role, which includes estimated wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation, is $220,000.00 to $280,000.00 on an annualized basis. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
