The Consulting Engineers Group, Inc. an Illinois Corporation seeks Structural Engineer in Mount Prospect, IL:

 

Perform engineering design of precast concrete structures and generate submittal calculations. Perform analysis and calculations using Excel, ETABS, and STAAD software. Create precast structural details. Review architectural and structural drawings, plans, and details. Review precast erection drawings and shop tickets for design and accuracy. Project coordination and management. Interact with precasters, architects, engineers, drafters, and other employees to resolve issues. Develop plant and field repairs for precast concrete components.

 

Minimum Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or related field (or foreign equivalent) and 2 years of experience in the job offered or in a related occupation.

 

Special Requirements: Position requires knowledge or coursework in each of the following:

  • Structural analysis and design principles;
  • Concrete design and analysis;
  • Engineering software;
  • Reviewing and understanding contract drawings and specifications;
  • Structural and seismic analysis; and
  • Communicating civil or structural engineering concepts to stakeholders.

 

5% Domestic travel to client site visits and industry conferences required.

 

40 hrs/week. $79,000.08/yr. - $90,000.00/yr. Must also have authority to work permanently in the U.S.
