Job Description
Description We are looking for a Compensation & Benefits Specialist to support benefits administration and compensation-related activities for a growing organization. This contract opportunity with potential for a permanent role is ideal for someone who brings hands-on experience with employee benefits, strong analytical skills, and a service-focused approach to supporting both employees and internal stakeholders. The role is primarily on site and offers a flexible start time within standard business hours to help support teams and clients across multiple time zones.
Responsibilities:
- Administer daily benefits operations, including enrollments, status changes, terminations, and employee support throughout the benefits lifecycle.
- Coordinate open enrollment activities by preparing materials, answering employee questions, and helping ensure timely and accurate elections.
- Review compensation and benefits data to identify discrepancies, support reporting needs, and maintain accurate records across HR systems.
- Serve as a point of contact for leave-related matters, including FMLA coordination, documentation tracking, and communication with employees and partners.
- Work closely with vendors, brokers, and internal teams to resolve benefits issues and improve the employee experience.
- Support compensation and benefits analysis by gathering information, validating details, and assisting with recommendations or program updates.
- Maintain and update employee information in PrismHR or similar HR platforms while ensuring confidentiality and data accuracy.
- Assist with process improvements, audits, and other administrative activities related to compensation and benefits programs. Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in compensation, benefits, or a closely related HR specialty.
- Practical knowledge of benefits administration, benefits coordination, and benefits analysis.
- Experience supporting open enrollment and handling employee benefit changes with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Familiarity with FMLA administration and leave tracking processes.
- Working knowledge of PrismHR software or comparable HRIS platforms.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to communicate clearly with employees, vendors, and internal stakeholders in a detail-oriented manner.
- Industry experience aligned with the client environment is preferred.
