We’re building a modern, scalable payments platform to support transactions across POS, e-commerce, mobile, kiosk, and call center channels.
We’re looking for a strong C# / .NET backend engineer to design, build, and maintain reliable services and APIs. You’ll work with Product, Architecture, and other engineers to ship secure, production-ready systems.
Payments experience is highly desired, but not required. Strong .NET engineers with API integrations and high-volume transactional systems are encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities
Design, build, and maintain backend services and APIs using C# and .NET / .NET Core
Integrate with third-party systems, external APIs, and internal platforms
Build reliable workflows including retries, error handling, and failover
Support high-volume transactional systems across multiple channels
Monitor production systems and troubleshoot issues
Improve performance, scalability, and reliability
Participate in incident response and root cause analysis
Partner with Product and Architecture to deliver technical solutions
Participate in sprint planning, code reviews, and Agile delivery
Write clean, maintainable, well-tested code
pay rate: $45-75/hour depending on experience

Skills and Requirements
5-10 years of software engineering experience
Strong proficiency in C# and .NET / .NET Core
Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs
Hands-on experience integrating with third-party systems or APIs
Experience with relational databases (SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or similar)
Understanding of secure coding practices
Strong problem-solving and production debugging skills
Strong communication and collaboration skills Experience with payment systems, payment gateways, processors, or POS platforms
Familiarity with tokenization, 3DS, EMV, or PCI-DSS
Experience with digital wallets or alternative payment methods
Background in fintech, retail, e-commerce, or other high-volume transactional systems
Experience with messaging platforms (Kafka, RabbitMQ, Azure Service Bus)
Cloud experience (Azure, AWS, or GCP)
Agile / Scrum experience (Jira, Azure DevOps, etc.)
