Job Description

Essential Functions


  • Assists the supervisor by providing frequent communication with technologists, their employers, and the general public.

  • Updates Technologist Accreditation and Industrial Radiography Program databases, generates and analyzes monthly statistical reports, generates specific reports of continuing education credit for individual technologists, and generates notices.

  • Composes clearly understood letters in response to diversified inquiries.

  • Performs the duties of assigned team position as specified in the Standard Operating procedures of the Illinois Plan for Radiological Accidents.

  • Performs other duties as required or assigned, which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated .above
Minimum Qualifications

  • Requires knowledge, skill, and mental development equivalent to completion of four (4) years of college, preferably with courses in public or business administration. 

  • Requires one (1) year of professional experience in a public or private organization, or completion of an agency approved professional management training program.
Preferred Qualifications

  • Prefers Three (3) years of experience providing administrative support in a public or private business organization.

  • Prefers Two (2) years of professional experience communicating verbally and in writing with various audiences across multiple forms of media.

  • Prefers Two (2) years of professional experience supporting project management, including development of trackers, and supporting adherence to deadlines.

  • Prefers Two (2) years of professional experience supporting multiple projects and ensuring accuracy and attention to details.

  • Prefers Two (2) years of experience working both independently and collaboratively to promote the values and missions of a public or private organization.

  • Prefers Two (2) years of experience preparing or reviewing official correspondence, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and compliance with established standards.

  • Prefers two (2) years of professional experience reviewing, evaluating, or recommending certifications, licenses, or accreditations.
Conditions of Employment

  • Requires a criminal history check through the Illinois State Police.

  • Requires completion of a background check and self-disclosure of criminal history.

  • Requires ability to travel in the performance of duties, with overnight stays as appropriate.

  • Requires the ability to use state-issued equipment such as cell phones, laptop, etc.

  • Certain provisions of the revolving door restrictions contained in 5 ILCS 430/5-45 apply to this position. As a result, the employee should be aware that if offered non-State employment during state employment or within one year immediately after ending State employment, the employee shall, prior to accepting any such non-State employment offer, notify the Office of the Executive Inspector General for the Agencies of the Illinois Governor (OEIG) or may be subject to a fine.
