Job Description
Essential Responsibilities- Supervise children in accordance with classroom ratios and safety requirements.
- Implement lesson plans provided by the regular classroom teacher.
- Create a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment.
- Support children's cognitive, language, social, emotional, and physical development.
- Observe and document children's behavior as requested.
- Maintain classroom organization and cleanliness.
- Follow health, sanitation, and emergency procedures.
- Communicate professionally with classroom staff and administrators.
- Report safety concerns or incidents immediately.
- Associate's Degree, Bachelor's Degree or higher in Early Childhood Education or related field, or qualifications meeting Illinois early childhood staffing requirements.
- Experience working with young children in a licensed childcare or educational setting.
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
- Experience in laboratory schools or Head Start programs.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
- CPR and First Aid (or willingness to obtain). *Mandated Reporter Training. *Illinois required background checks and fingerprint clearance.*Current health documentation as required.
