Job Description
The Chamberlain Group, LLC seeks a Sr. Engineer 2, Firmware in Oak Brook, IL to: Design, develop, and implement application level firmware solutions. Create new designs using existing technologies. Socialize expertise and train developers. Create new designs of moderate complexity with new technology; support platform design. Analyze, troubleshoot, & resolve firmware defects. Work across business units to create designs modular across platforms. Supervise small groups of developers. Generate project plans for small teams of developers, manage Gantt charts, and Scrum backlog. Lead Agile initiatives. Telecommuting allowed. Travel required up to 10% domestic and international to unanticipated locations/customer sites. Requires: Bachelor’s (or foreign equivalent) degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field; plus 5 years of experience in the Job offered, Firmware Engineer or Architect, Software Analyst, Software Programmer or related. Required Skills: C/C++ Programming Language, Microcontroller Board bring up and chip level hardware debugging, Serial Communication Interfaces, Communicate with Stakeholders to understand requirements and report status, Test case creation and CAN or Vehicle Serial Bus.
