Job Description
The Civil Engineer (Water Resources) provides engineering services for public and private infrastructure projects, with a strong focus on stormwater, water supply, and wastewater facilities design. In this role, you will plan, design, permit, and oversee projects that enhance community infrastructure and mobility, working closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver effective and sustainable solutions. Travel includes local project sites in Illinois and occasional travel to Indiana.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop engineering plans, drawings, and specifications in accordance with local, state, and federal requirements for land development, municipal, industrial, and utility infrastructure
- Lead projects from initiation through completion, including planning, budgeting, funding, design, permitting, and construction‑phase engineering services
- Lead project teams to meet technical objectives, schedules, and quality standards
- Lead and assist project teams in designing and permitting private and municipal stormwater management, water supply, and wastewater collection systems
- Conduct site visits and field investigations to evaluate and report existing and as‑built conditions
- Assist clients with compliance across regulatory agencies
- Prepare technical reports, cost estimates, and proposals
- Participate in public meetings to present project plans and address stakeholder feedback
- Support business development efforts with municipalities, utilities, and industrial clients
