Position Overview

The Illinois Department of Children and Family Services is seeking an organized, professional, and results oriented individual to serve as  Office Associate. DCFS offers a competitive compensation plan, excellent benefits, and a pension program.  The ideal candidate for this position will have excellent organizational skills and strong leadership and communication capabilities. Essential Functions
  • Serves as Regional Office Receptionist
  • Answers all incoming calls and screens callers to determine nature of request, many of which may be hostile
  • Greets visitors and directs walk-ins to appropriate offices and resources
  • Orders and distributes forms from Central Stores
  • Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above
Minimum Qualifications
  • Requires knowledge, skill, and mental development equivalent to completion of high school
  • Requires 2 years of office experience
  • Requires ability to keyboard accurately at 45 wpm
