VCA County West Animal Hospital is seeking a part-time Patient Care Attendant

Compensation: $15 – 16/hr.

Schedule: Part-time, roughly 20 – 25 hours per week.

What You’ll Do

+ Provide compassionate care and attention to hospitalized and boarding pets

+ Feed, walk, and monitor animals according to their individual care instructions

+ Clean and maintain kennels, treatment areas, and other hospital spaces

+ Assist the veterinary team with basic animal handling and patient care

+ Help maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment for patients and staff

+ Monitor patients and communicate any changes or concerns to the veterinary team

+ Stock supplies and assist with general hospital duties as needed

+ Provide excellent care and a positive experience for both pets and their owners

What We’re Looking For

+ Previous experience working with animals is a plus, but not required

+ A genuine passion for animal care and welfare

+ Comfortable handling dogs and cats of various sizes and temperaments

+ Reliable, dependable, and willing to be a team player

+ Ability to work in a fast-paced veterinary environment

+ Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn

+ Ability to safely lift and carry animals and supplies as needed
