Job Description

VETS, Inc., is looking to add a strong SAP Integration professional to our growing team. This is a full time, permanent position with full benefits. The position is remote, based out of the Saint Louis, MO, area requires approximately 10% travel. This position requires US Citizenship based on clearance requirements. A US Government clearance is required on day one. The project manages Planning, Procurement, Fulfillment, Financials, Application Development, and Technical Operations, including Security, GRC, and Identity & Access Management—within the Joint Transportation Management System (JTMS) environment.

VETS is seeking to hire an SAP Integration Suite Senior Developer that will be responsible for the solutions that typically exchange data among SAP instances and external systems that are integral components across the JTMS landscape. The typical interface model embraces Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) principles, building on SAP best practices and the SAP enterprise service architecture. This role requires deep expertise in SAP Integration Suite and prior experience supporting USTRANSCOM (USTC) transportation operations, systems, or programs.

The architect will ensure SAP Integration Suite capabilities align with DoD transportation doctrine, regulatory requirements (DTR, DoD FMR), and Clean Core principles while supporting complex integrations across DoD and commercial transportation ecosystems.

The JTMS solution is foundational to the DoD mission, enabling the fielding and sustainment of transportation, logistics, and financial operations.

As the Transportation Management Solution Architect, you will:

Integration Suite – Duties and Responsibilities

• Participate in the analysis of the customer's business operations to validate requirements and scope, suggest process improvements, and assist in level of effort (LOE) estimation, if required.

• Analyze business requirements to design and develop end-to-end integration flows (iFlows) using various patterns like synchronous/asynchronous, event-driven, and API-led architectures.

• Evaluate, model and design interface objects from an enterprise Service Architecture perspective to construct interfaces.

• Configure connectors, mappings, routing rules, and security protocols (OAuth, SAML, SSL/TLS).

• Configure standard and custom adapters (SFTP, REST, SOAP, OData, JDBC, IDoc) and manage message mapping, transformations, and routing.

• Configure EDI interfaces using TPM Configuration, implement message mapping (MIG/MAG) and configure adapters (AS2, SFTP, OData).
• Develop Groovy/Java scripts for complex mapping required to implement interfaces between SAP instances and external systems, traversing through the SAP Integration Suite instance.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and debug integration flows (iFlows) to resolve performance issues.
