Position Overview
The Division of Developmental Disabilities is seeking to hire a licensed Registered Nurse to serve as Nursing Supervisor at the Fox Developmental Center in Dwight, Illinois. This energetic and detail-oriented person will supervise professional and paraprofessional staff, ensuring twenty-four-hour supervisory coverage, directing staff on individuals’ needs and the implementation of treatment plans and reviewing nursing assessments and nursing care plans for completeness, accuracy and appropriateness of plans. The Fox Developmental Center serves a broad spectrum of individuals with behavioral and medical needs.
Essential Functions
- Serves as Nursing Supervisor for the Fox Developmental Center.
- Serves as full line supervisor.
- Assists the Director of Nursing (DON) and the Assistant Director of Nursing in developing, documenting, monitoring and implementing policies and procedures.
- Evaluates services for individuals served by conducting ongoing audits (e.g. quality assurance) of services provided in adherence to established goals and standards.
- Provides professional nursing services to individuals on an assigned shift.
- Serves as a member on a variety of committees at the facility.
- Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above.
