Overview:
II-VI EpiWorks is seeking an MOCVD Engineer to support its 24×7 semiconductor manufacturing operations.
This position supports the MOCVD equipment within the company’s ISO 9001:2008 Quality system.
Primary Responsibilities:
Lead equipment engineering activities in an ISO Class 6 clean room environment Design, install and test equipment upgrades and modifications to improve uptime, yield, cycle time and throughput Perform FMEA studies and author action plans Draft work instructions, safety guidelines and specifications for new equipment Support troubleshooting and repair activities of assigned MOCVD equipment Lead new equipment installation and qualification of OEMs as suppliers Support training the equipment maintenance team Report against various functions including equipment uptime, maintenance effectiveness and maintenance costs versus plan Make use of SQL databases and fault detection analysis to determine root causes for failures Utilize cost of ownership principles for make or buy decisionsRequirements Include:
Bachelor’s degree in an engineering or science field related to semiconductors preferred 5 years’ experience in a 24 × 7 production environment preferred Knowledge of vacuum systems, RF heating, gas handling, control systems and robotic systems are a plus Training in computer programming and preferably some experience with writing queries against an SQL database Experience with SPC and process control methodologies Highly motivated with a good work ethic Strong mechanical aptitude, experience with electronics and excellent communication skillsFor more information, or to apply now, you must go to the website below.
