POSITION SUMMARY

The Senior Video Project Manager will deliver compelling narratives through the art of video production and have a proven track record in the project management of various types of production with a deep understanding of the process of bringing creative concepts to final assets. They will lead video project management and production as assigned, including but not limited to digital, social, and demo videos. Further, they will manage rights, YouTube listings, and other video responsibilities as necessary.

The Senior Video Project Manager will support high volumes of video production for both VTech and LeapFrog brands across priority product lines. This individual will have the ability to understand the strategic role of video creative within the digital ecosystem and purchase funnel to drive business goals and sales results. They will work with key stakeholders to understand project goals, context of asset placement and measurement expectation for performance and will apply their creative taste and judgment to the creative process to deliver compelling, relevant, on-brand and culturally aware concepts.

They will successfully oversee the volume of production for the holistic brand portfolio through flawless management of the detailed logistics of production, delivering on-time and in-budget. They collaborate with a variety of internal and external teams, including designers, external agency partners, and global VTech teams.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBLITES

Manage the production of videos to be used in a variety of destinations including but not limited to various media placements, as well as YouTube content that align to the brands’ video strategies and content requests from conception through final file delivery. Further, collaborate with content team colleagues to maximize video asset production across asset types, different shoots, and destination platforms.
Manage the organization, tagging, and maintenance of the brands’ YouTube channels ensuring that produced content is easily found via search and best-practice SEO guidelines are applied.
Manage and track budget for all productions and work with Sales or Global Marketing Teams for any necessary accounting transfers and making adjustments as needed to accommodate unanticipated requests and opportunities.
Manage agencies/vendors through the pre-production process by writing detailed and accurate creative briefs, evaluating creative concepts and scripts, managing shot lists, casting, props, set, location and all other pre-production details, reviewing and securing approval as appropriate.
Work closely with the Product Development Team prior to shoots for script review and product integration to ensure accurate depiction and usage.
Attend video shoots as active part of the production, confirming shots, product usage, set/wardrobe checks, on-set decisions and overseeing the production in its entirety to deliver all required assets.
Exercise strong agency/vendor management to drive efficient productions through all phases, driving effective creative concepts and comprehensive, on-time and on-budget shoots.
Manage agencies/vendors through the post-production process reviewing and routing rough cuts and providing feedback to finalize assets.
Manage multiple projects with the ability to switch from one to the other seamlessly, effectively prioritizing competing priorities and deadlines.
Provide regular updates and tracking on video production timing, budget and completion to key stakeholders in tandem with other members of the Content team.
Source and send all necessary files for production including logos, images, sound file, etc. for global/agency/vendor usage.
Work cross-functionally to secure product samples for all shoot needs, working with Product Development to ensure functionality, program accuracy and product appearance and arrange all shipping to required teams and agency partners.
Assist with ad-hoc internal video projects as necessary, including the production of in-house demo videos, social media post videos, et as needed.

EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION

7-10 years of progressively responsible experience in the area of creative development and production or project management.
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or a related field; or any combination of experience and education that provides the necessary skills, knowledge and ability to perform essential functions of this role.
MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITY

This position has no management/supervisory responsibilities.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Duties are primarily performed in an office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets.

MENTAL AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS

The employee must read, speak, write and understand the English language. The employee frequently is required to sit, stand, walk, and use their hands to handle and grasp, reach with hands and arms. The employee may be occasionally required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.

The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds [50 pounds if travel]. Specific vision abilities may be required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus with or without the use of prescription eyeglasses. POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK

This is a full-time position, 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday. Core hours will be set between employee and manager and will be based on business needs. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.

TRAVEL

Travel is primarily local during the business day, although out-of-the-area and overnight travel may be expected 10-20% of the time.
