Job Description

We are seeking a full-time non-exempt Tier 2 Tower Technician to join our Infrastructure Team. The Tower Technician- Tier 2 position entails numerous manual labor tasks. Training will include best practices and safety standards. As a Tower Technician- Tier 2 you will be assigned job duties and are responsible for making sure they are completed per company procedures. Tier 2 techs will often serve as the lead on jobs and must adhere to Wisper’s standards. This position may require off duty hours’ work to be performed.

Tower Technician Tier 2 – Travel – 65%

Summary of Essential Job Functions

Successfully completed all Tier 1 qualifications.
Configuration of approved devices as direct by Networking department.
Database and documentation updates.
Follow training protocols and safety briefings.
Perform on-site analysis and determine potential for new tower site locations.
Perform safety briefing and coordinate on-site roles for the job in which you are acting as lead.
Possesses & maintains a clean driving record in order to be added as a covered driver under the Company’s auto insurance policy.
Must be willing to rotate in an on-call schedule and work after normal business hours and weekends.

Must be able to climb up to 750ft while adhering to all safety procedures.
Must be able to work outside in all weather conditions.
Must demonstrate personal accountability in prioritization.
Must be able to handle multiple interruptions and adjustments to priorities.
Must demonstrate the ability to maintain a cooperative working relationship.
Must demonstrate the desire to learn, supported with a love of technology.
Must complete your tower training within 90 days of hire.
Requirements

A high school diploma is required.
Must have valid Safety One Certification.
Minimum 1 year demonstrated Tier 1 performance or equivalent.
A valid driver’s license is required, in accordance with state requirements.
You will be required to work weekends, travel and be on call as needed and adhere to the Travel Time Policies as stated in the Wisper Employee Handbook.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions

Tasks are regularly performed with exposure to outdoor weather conditions.
May work in high, precarious places.
Must pass a background check, MVR check & drug screen.
Physical Requirements: Light: Lifting 0-10 lbs. Moderate: Lifting 0-25 lbs. X – Heavy: Lifting 25+ lbs.
