Job Description
Job Title : Jr. Buyer
Job Description:
+ Assist buyers and managers with writing purchase orders, buying merchandise, and managing inventory
+ Analyze supplier and retail data to assist buyers in decision making on cost and sell
+ Research suppliers to determine which ones fit company pricing and quality objectives
+ Advise retail outlets how to price products based on purchase price and market trends
+ Review purchase orders, conferring with other departments to verify orders, contacting vendors and evaluating bids offered by suppliers
+ Help with various purchasing procedures, inventories, accounts, proposals and similar preparations
+ Determine purchasing needs, analyzing quotes and bids for suitability, cost and product availability
+ Evaluate samples, products and services
+ Recommend and initiating purchase of materials, supplies and services
+ An in store training will occur for a period of time. Time frame may vary by department
Requirements:
+ Bachelor’s degree required
+ Computer proficiency in Microsoft office
