Job Description

Coilcraft is a successful, privately held company in Cary, IL with a worldwide reputation for high quality passive electronic components. Coilcraft operates in a wide range of industries, including telecommunications, computers, automotive, aerospace and consumer electronics.
We have an opening for a Calibration and Environmental Laboratory Technician.

Job Responsibilities:

Organize and maintain calibration schedule on test equipment and hand tools to ensure all equipment complies with standards.

Calibrate and repair equipment.

Maintain calibration database.

Work with calibration vendors to schedule work and shipping of equipment along with required paperwork and follow up.

Represent the company during audits of calibration department.

Perform electronic testing (OHM meter, Network Analyzer, LCR meter).

Perform environmental Chamber testing.

Conduct inspection of parts using microscope.

Prepare and review test reports.

Perform X-ray analysis and inspection.

Job Requirements:

Excellent communication and organizational skills, ability to plan 6 months to a year ahead.

Attention to detail a must and ability to handle small parts.

Ability to handle multiple projects and prioritize multiple tasks.

Strong Soldering Skills are preferred

High school diploma. An EET degree or Associates Degree in electronics preferred or relevant experience.

Previous calibration work experience is highly preferred, including experience with mechanical and electronic test equipment calibrations.

Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel.

Strong oral and written communication skills.
