C5T is currently seeking a Software Engineer (Mid-Level). This position is responsible for the design, development, testing and integration of functionality assigned to them and their agile team. The Software Engineer utilizes the development and sustainment processes, to develop the functionality and test cases needed for deployment of this functionality. The Software Engineer communicates with their team to ensure a common understanding of mission requirements, architecture design, and current work status. The Software Engineer understands the technology, tools, and development or sustainment environment(s) to efficiently develop this functionality.

Responsibilities Include (But are not limited to the following):

Works on an Agile Team.
Participates in Agile Ceremonies.
Communicates the status of their work.
Understands existing code.
Documents code as needed.
Understands the requirements to be developed.
Develops functionality based on the requirements.
Asks questions on requirements to gain an understanding of what is to be developed.
Be a Productive Developer.
Learns the technology, frameworks, and tools and then applies this knowledge to work assigned.
Follows the development processes, guidelines, and agreed upon coding standards.
Learns the Development, Test, and Integration Environment (DTIE) to efficiently deliver functionality through the team’s DevSecOps pipeline.
Performs code reviews on development or sustainment branches.
Develops high quality code, including test cases.
Do appropriate levels of test and integration on the functionality assigned to support the team’s DevSecOps pipeline.
Qualifications:

An active Security Clearance or the ability to obtain one.
A Bachelor’s Degree related to computing, or the equivalent years of experience working in a related technical field.
An active Security+ certification or the ability to obtain one.
Three plus years of related work experience.
Experience with some of the following: Java, JavaScript, SQL, XML, Scripting Languages, HTML, and CSS.
Experience with Linux or Windows environments.
Demonstrated experience using and supporting:
Developer tools including IntelliJ, Node, Gradle, and Git.
Team Collaboration tools including VersionOne, Jira, and Confluence.
Experience in DoD or other Federal Agencies providing IT/software services.
Knowledge of Agile Principles and the application of SAFe.
